Lycra Jersey Fabric

Lycra Jersey is a single-knit cotton fabric with a composition of cotton with spandex. We can add the required percentage of spandex with the jersey fabric in knitting. It is known for its super-stretch, elongation and softness. The presence of Lycra in single jersey knitted fabric increases of course density, fabric thickness, and knitted fabric recovery. Mostly Lycra jersey fabric used for t-shirts.

Description

It is a cotton and spandex blend of single jersey fabric. The fabric can be made with any percentage of cotton and spandex as required. The most common percentage is 95% cotton and 5% spandex.

By adding Lycra yarn the knitted fabric becomes tight

The fabric weight also increases as the percentage of Lycra increases

Both 2-way stretch fabric (the fabric stretches in one direction, usually from selvedge to selvedge) and 4-way stretch fabric (the fabric stretches in both directions, crosswise and lengthwise) can be made in lycra jersey.
